Randy Case was born in Jacksonville, FL. After high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan; MCAS Beaufort, SC; and Camp Lejeune, NC. He was also deployed to Korea, Germany, Norway, and Saudi Arabia. He served in the Gulf War during Dessert Shield and Dessert Storm with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force – 2nd SRI Group. After leaving the Marine Corps he attended college at Huron University and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice (BSCJ). He was hired by the South Dakota Department of Corrections as an intensive parole agent just after college. He eventually moved back to Florida and attended the St Augustine Technical Center’s law enforcement academy. After the academy he was hired by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and served as a deputy sheriff. After a short time with the Sheriff’s Office, he was hired by the Orange Park Police Department. Over the past 25 years, he has served as a patrol officer, patrol corporal, field training officer, detective, patrol sergeant, administrative sergeant, lieutenant, Assistant Chief and currently serves as Chief of Police with the Orange Park Police Department.
While with the Orange Park Police Department he earned a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. He enjoys serving as a law enforcement instructor conducting training for the Orange Park Police Department in firearms, driving, taser, use of force, and other general topics. Randy was hired by the St Johns River State College to serve as a law enforcement adjunct instructor teaching firearms, driving, taser, and other general and specialized training topics and as a criminal justice adjunct instructor teaching public administration. He is a graduate of the Florida Leadership Academy – Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee, FL. He also attended the Southern Police Institute, earning a graduate certificate in Police Executive Leadership from the University of Louisville and graduated from the Southern Police Institute – Administrative Officers Course. Randy is active in the Clay County Marine Corps League Detachment and has held several offices within the organization including Detachment Commandant. He volunteers through the Marine Corps League detachment with the Toys for Tots program, cleaning the Knights Boat Ramp, and by assisting Marines and other veterans. His interests include music, bicycle riding, and target shooting.
